The HERO Südtirol Dolomites crosses the heart of the Dolomites.
Since 2010, it has been a symbol of passion, strength, and determination.
Now, this challenge has gone global: the world's toughest mountain bike marathon has given its name to the World Cup circuit, the HERO UCI Marathon World Cup.
This is the home of HEROes.
In 2026, the HERO Südtirol Dolomites, the world's toughest mountain bike marathon, celebrates its 16th edition. Moreover, this milestone event will also serve as the 4th round of the HERO UCI Cross-Country Marathon World Cup. Aspiring World Cup champions (Elite Athletes as well as Master Licence) will face the challenging trails surrounding the iconic Sella massif:
- Men: 86 km with 4,500 m of elevation gain
- Women: 60 km with 3,200 m of elevation gain
Riders will take on steep climbs, technical descents, and a variety of terrains as they race through the four Ladin valleys of the Sellaronda and the Seiser Alm. It’s a true test of endurance — both physical and mental — for amateurs and professionals alike. A challenge worthy of true HEROES. |
